The public is invited to attend an in-person information meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 31 in Austin to learn more about a construction project to replace and improve Interstate 90 bridges and interchanges in Austin, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

CITY OF BYRON: The city of Byron recently received a Resiliency Grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for about $46,500

he city’s match of 10% will be about $4,650. The money will be used to develop a plan which will evaluate Byron’s current storm water infrastructure and - using climate change data about weather trends and projections from scientists at the University of Minnesota – will list prioritized improvements to our stormwater infrastructure and associated costs.

WINONA POLICE DEPARTMENT: Just a reminder as the colleges come back from winter break that the Alternate Side Parking rules are still in effect.

Alternate side parking works as follows. Vehicles must be on a specific side of the street between 12:01am and 6:30am every night during enforcement dates.

CITY OF BYRON: In late November, workers dug deep into the ground by the traffic light near the west Kwik Trip as part of the work on the new lift station project

The work will soon stop for the winter.
