Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed topics ranging from rural finance to air travel disruptions and mental health legislation in a series of posts on his official social media account.

On November 6, 2025, Finstad shared his experience meeting with Compeer Finance during their Farm Credit Fly-in. He stated, "It is always a pleasure to meet with @CompeerFinance during their Farm Credit Fly-in. With a presence across Minnesota, Compeer offers loans, leases, risk management solutions, and a full range of financial services that empower the hopes and dreams of rural America."

The following day, on November 7, 2025, Finstad commented on recent disruptions in air travel due to issues within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He wrote: "This was entirely avoidable, and now travelers are paying the price of Democrat's dogmatic games. The FAA is being forced to cut flight schedules at 40 major airports because air traffic controllers are overworked and unpaid. While traveling, stay informed and plan ahead."

Later that same day, Finstad turned attention to healthcare policy by announcing new legislative efforts: "Too often, outdated restrictions limit Medicaid coverage for mental health treatment. I am excited to introduce the Restoring Inpatient Mental Health Access Act of 2025, which will expand access to inpatient care, helping those in crisis receive the treatment they need while"

Brad Finstad has represented Minnesota’s 1st District since replacing Jim Hagedorn in 2022. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, Finstad holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
