Brad Finstad discusses cybersecurity, biofuels, and critical minerals in recent statements

Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media highlighting his engagement with cybersecurity, energy independence, and critical minerals.

On November 5, 2025, Finstad wrote about participating in a cybersecurity discussion: "I appreciated the opportunity to participate in an important discussion on the future of cybersecurity with educators, industry leaders, and local officials from across Minnesota. As a member of @HASCRepublicans, I know firsthand that our cyber infrastructure and the threats we".

The following day, November 6, 2025, he addressed biofuels and energy policy: "From the fields of southern Minnesota to families across America, homegrown biofuels keep our economy running and energy affordable. Proud to work with President Trump and Administrator Zeldin to strengthen U.S. energy independence."

Later that same day, Finstad commented on mineral resources: "Critical minerals are key to keeping America strong and independent. Glad to see @USGS recognize phosphate and potash as critical minerals. These minerals are essential for both our farmers and our national security."

Brad Finstad has represented Minnesota’s 1st district in Congress since 2022 after succeeding Jim Hagedorn. He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976, Finstad continues to reside there today. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
