Winona County has introduced a new service called Land Notification, which enables residents to monitor real estate activity associated with their names. The tool is designed to help property owners detect possible fraudulent recordings that could impact their property.
According to the county, while the Land Notification Alerts cannot prevent fraud, they provide an early warning system so property owners can act if suspicious activity is detected. Residents can set up one or more alerts through the service.
