Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted issues affecting small businesses, truckers, and transportation infrastructure through a series of posts on social media.
On September 15, 2025, Finstad emphasized the importance of targeted tax relief for local businesses, stating: "Here in southern Minnesota and from coast to coast, small businesses depend on support that works. The Working Families Tax Cuts deliver that. Thank you, @RepRWilliams, for fighting for Main Street and working families."
The following day, September 16, he expressed appreciation for the trucking industry’s role in sustaining local economies: "Hard work. Long hours. Miles away from home. From hauling crops out of southern Minnesota fields to delivering goods nationwide, truckers keep our communities strong. Grateful this week, and every week, for the trucking industry and the families who keep our economy moving."
On September 17, Finstad described his engagement with state and local officials at a transportation event: "Great to speak with local leaders at the Minnesota Transportation Alliance Breakfast this morning to discuss the upcoming Surface Transportation Reauthorization. Brad Finstad has represented Minnesota’s 1st District in Congress since 2022 after replacing Jim Hagedorn. He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976 and currently residing there, Finstad holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota.
