Brad Finstad highlights education initiatives, agricultural policy visit, and school tragedy tribute

Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on social media highlighting local educational initiatives, federal engagement with agriculture, and a tribute to victims of a recent tragedy.

On September 2, 2025, Finstad expressed appreciation for Dr. Jeff Boyd and the Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) team: "Grateful to my friend, Dr. Jeff Boyd, and the outstanding team at RCTC for sharing updates on the exciting developments happening across campus. Their outstanding vocational programs and their continued commitment to meeting the needs of our local economy makes RCTC an invaluable".

Later that day, he welcomed EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin to Minnesota’s 1st district: "Proud to welcome EPA Administrator @epaleezeldin to #MN01 for a tour and roundtable at @CF_Farms in Brown County. On September 3, Finstad joined his colleagues in commemorating victims of a recent incident: "Today our entire Minnesota delegation joined together for a moment of silence on the House Floor to honor the victims and stand with a grieving community after last week’s tragedy at Annunciation Catholic School. May God continue to bring comfort and healing to the students,".

Brad Finstad has served as U.S. Representative since 2022 after succeeding Jim Hagedorn. He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976, Finstad is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree.
