Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted legislative initiatives and local events through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On August 26, 2025, Finstad announced the introduction of new legislation: "Today I introduced the American Protein Processing Modernization Act to provide long-term certainty for America’s food supply chain. This legislation ensures safe, science-based processing, protects farmers’ livelihoods, and strengthens our nation’s food security."
The following day, August 27, Finstad addressed a violent incident in Minnesota by expressing support for first responders and concern for those affected: "Thank you to the numerous law enforcement personnel responding to this heartbreaking scene this morning. Keeping the students, teachers, and all of Minnesota in my prayers in the wake of today's horrific violence."
On August 28, Finstad shared details about his visit to a local business with deep roots in the region: "Founded in the Midwest, Jack Links has grown to a global company and remains a snacking staple in #MN01. As they celebrate 40 years in the meat snack industry, it was an honor to tour the Jack Links Mankato plant, an operation that produces 6.4 million pounds of packaged product".
