Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted several local initiatives and business visits through a series of posts on his social media account.
On August 25, 2025, Finstad commended efforts to restore a historic site in Albert Lea, stating, "The Broadway in Albert Lea is a great example of local groups coming together to revitalize a historic space. Cento has already been open for nearly a year, and the space is almost fully renovated. With several businesses currently operating and more on the way, this landmark".
The following day, August 26, he shared details about his visit to InkitHQ's new facility. Finstad wrote, "Visited @InkitHQ's new space to hear about the work they do to support the Department of Defense and hear about their priorities for upcoming NDAA and Appropriations legislation. As a member of @HASCRepublicans, it’s exciting to see a Minnesota company leading in digital".
Later that same day, Finstad discussed meeting with another local business: "Met with Crossroads Trailers in Albert Lea last week to hear about their operation and have an important discussion on the economic outlook, the regulatory landscape, and how @HouseSmallBiz Committee can best serve small businesses. Thankful to have SBA Deputy Administrator Bill".
Finstad has served as U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 1st District since 2022 after replacing Jim Hagedorn. He previously held office in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, Finstad holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
