On July 28, 2025, Finstad addressed concerns about national security, stating, "Unauthorized drone activity poses a serious threat to public safety & airspace sovereignty. As a member of @HASCRepublicans, I was proud to introduce legislation that will protect critical infrastructure sites from unlawful drone activity that compromises our national security."
The following day, July 29, he highlighted his agricultural background and leadership role: "As a fourth-generation farmer, I’m honored to serve as Vice Chair of Emerging Innovations for the Modern Ag Caucus. Brad Finstad has represented Minnesota's 1st District in Congress since 2022 after replacing Jim Hagedorn. He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm, Minnesota in 1976, Finstad is also an alumnus of the University of Minnesota.
