2,927 students enrolled in Fillmore County schools in 2024-25 school year

There were 2,927 students enrolled in Fillmore County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 1% more than the previous year, according to reports from the Minnesota Department of Education.

In terms of gender distribution, the student body in Fillmore County comprised 52.2% boys, with girls representing the remaining 47.8%.

Data also showed that white students made up 93.4% of the student body, the largest percentage in Fillmore County schools, followed by multiracial students with 2.8%, 2.7% Hispanic students, 0.6% Black students, 0.3% Asian students, 0.1% American Indian students, less than 0.1% Hawaiian Pacific Islander students and less than 0.1% Other Indigenous Peoples students.

Chatfield Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Fillmore County's 12 schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 469 students.

With more than 870,000 students enrolled, Minnesota's public school system is the 10th-largest in the United States. As of 2025 the student-to-teacher ratio in the state’s public schools is 15 to 1, on par with the national average.
