Congressman Brad Finstad, representing Minnesota’s 1st district, has recently shared several updates on his social media platform. These posts highlight developments in the manufacturing sector, discussions with real estate professionals, and legislative achievements.

On June 4, 2025, Congressman Finstad announced that "Southern Minnesota is the proud home of Mankato’s @RollsRoyce facility," which is expanding and investing in the area. He expressed excitement for this development as it will bring "100+ manufacturing jobs right here to our backyard." Link

The following day, June 5, 2025, he met with members of @Minn_Realtors to discuss important issues related to real estate. He noted the discussion covered "the vital role of real estate professionals, the current housing outlook, and the importance of housing accessibility in #MN01." Later on June 5, 2025, Congressman Finstad announced a legislative success: "Today, the House passed my legislation, the Save SBA from Sanctuary Cities Act." This bipartisan bill aims to protect small businesses from what he describes as "failed sanctuary city policies." Link

Brad Finstad has been serving in Congress since 2022 after replacing Jim Hagedorn. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, Finstad graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree.
