Of the 31,303 citizens living in Polk County in 2021, 75.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 23,560 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 11,980 were male, constituting 50.8%, and 11,580 were female, making up 49.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Polk County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.7%.
