MCA and MTAS: How many Dover-Eyota Public School District students took their Math tests in 2021-22 school year?

Dover-Eyota Public School District ranked fourth in the Olmsted County for test participation, with 524 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Dover-Eyota Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 10.5% over the previous year.

Dover-Eyota Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 49% in 2021-22 school year.

Third grade students stood out with 37% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 11th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 58% not meeting the expected standards.

Dover-Eyota Public School District encompasses schools within Olmsted County and has a main office in Eyota.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
