Lyle Public School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Lyle Public School District ranked fourth in the Mower County for test participation, with 148 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Lyle Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 7.2% over the previous year.

Lyle Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 19% in 2021-22 school year.

Third grade students stood out with 14% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, fifth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 89% not meeting the expected standards.

Lyle Public School District encompasses schools within Mower County and has a main office in Lyle.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
