Hayfield Public School District: MCA and MTAS Math results for 2021-22 school year

Hayfield Public School District ranked third in the Dodge County for test participation, with 345 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Hayfield Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year fell by 3.4% from the previous year.

Hayfield Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 35% in 2021-22 school year.

Fourth grade students stood out with 19% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, sixth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 52% not meeting the expected standards.

Hayfield Public School District encompasses schools within Dodge County and has a main office in Hayfield.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
