ROCHESTER, MINN. – One of Rochester, Minnesota's most anticipated summer music events returns for its 31st season in Mayo Park. Rochester Civic Music has released the band lineup for the 2023 “Think Bank Down by the Riverside” series which features local bands opening for can't-miss headliners, including Minnesota's own beloved singer-songwriter Charlie Parr, ‘60s psychedelic progressive rock pioneers Vanilla Fudge, country music up-and-comer Avery Anna, and Grammy nominated all-female '90s R&B legends En Vogue. '90s alt-rock giants Eve 6 kick off the free outdoor concert series by headlining opening night on Sunday, July 9 at 7:00 p.m. in Mayo Park.
An annual summer tradition, Rochester Civic Music’s Down by the Riverside is a free, public outdoor music festival held on Sunday evenings in downtown Rochester along the banks of the Zumbro River. This family-friendly community event features must-see national acts as well as standout local opening artists. Down by the Riverside also features local food vendors, craft beer, and giveaways – something for everyone!
“Down by the Riverside is a Rochester summer highlight,” says Avital Rabinowitz, Director of Rochester Civic Music. “This year, we are excited to bring back En Vogue, whose previously scheduled performance was cancelled due to unsafe weather.
