City Of Austin issued the following announcement on Feb. 27.
Activity is picking up at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. This morning a Komatsu 490 (very large) excavator was delivered to the site. Equipment and materials are being delivered in preparation for the Expansion and Phosphorus Reduction project.
Work on the $100 million project is expected to begin in early March 2023 and continue through summer of 2026.
