City Of Byron issued the following announcement on Sep. 02.
The Byron Lions Club is a group filled with energetic volunteers who work tirelessly to make Byron a better community. One of their annual events is the metal collection held this year on August 20 at the park & ride near McDonalds.
This year the group collected more than 17 tons of metal which filled eight full-size rolloffs. The group also collected $150 in aluminum cans and cash donations. The money is used for Byron projects. #WeAreByron
