City Of Canton issued the following announcement on Aug. 18.
A WARM WELCOME: The City of Canton looks forward to seeing you at this weekend's Canton Day Off festivities. You can find the complete list of events at cantonmn.com. Once again, our thanks to the Canton Community Association, Canton Fire Department, Canton American Legion, Canton Historical Society and all other volunteers who make this annual celebration possible.
Beginning at noon today (8/19), several streets in the downtown area will be closed to traffic. Please do not drive around barricades; this also applies to UTVs/golf carts not being utilized by event volunteers. The barricades are there for a reason -- public safety. Tomorrow (8/20), a portion of Main Street, from Prairie Avenue to the bank drive-up entrance, will be closed to all traffic for the pop-up market. Please plan accordingly.
