Cost of college went up for all students at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota

Tuition and fees rose 4.6 percent for 2018-19 at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Minnesota students paid $35,110 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,550 more than the $33,560 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 299 students received grants or scholarships totaling $7.1 million and 197 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (5,560), 1,201 students used grants or scholarships totaling $26.5 million, and 904 students took out $6.9 million in federal student loans.
