91 percent of applicants to Saint Mary's University of Minnesota were admitted for fall 2018

At Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, 73 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Winona enrolled 5,560 students in fall 2018, including 1,442 in undergraduate and 4,118 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

50 percent of undergraduates are residents of Minnesota, and 46 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (68 percent) and Black or African American (9 percent).

The school admitted 91 percent of the 1,642 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 20 percent enrolled.
