Sen. Jeremy Miller recently expressed his gratitude for the workers risking their lives in the fight against the coronavirus.

“While our state, country and world grapple with the threats posed by the coronavirus, the unsung heroes are the doctors, nurses, medical professionals, public safety professionals, scientists, retail workers, grocery workers, farmers and others who are on the front lines of the fight,” Miller said in a statement on the Minnesota Senate Republican Caucus website. “They are the ones who are keeping society functioning during this extremely challenging time. They continue to take care of us, protect our health, and make sure that we have the food and supplies we need.”

Miller said he appreciates their unwavering dedication to their jobs.

"They aren’t taking days off; they continue to show up to work, day in and day out, because they are committed to the communities they serve,” Miller said. “We owe them a huge debt of gratitude for their dedicated and tireless efforts that go above and beyond.”

Minnesota is currently under a stay-at-home order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
