CITY OF CANTON: Public Hearing To Consider Liquor License Revocation Or Suspension For ZZ Tap

Publiccoment

City of Canton issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.

The Canton City Council will hold a public hearing on December 18, 2019, at 6 p.m. to consider liquor license revocation or suspension for ZZ Tap.

The City of Canton understands ZZ Tap operator Vernon Zafft was recently sentenced to a gross misdemeanor for transporting liquor across state lines in file 23-CR-19-467. City ordinances require the council conduct a hearing and consider license revocation or suspension when a violation such as this occurs.

The public hearing will take place at Canton City Hall, located at 106 North Main Street. Following the conclusion of the hearing, the council will hold a special meeting to decide what action to take in response to Mr. Zafft’s conviction and sentence.
