The City of Caledonia has announced its alternate side parking regulations for the upcoming winter season. The plan is designed to help with snow plowing and removal by requiring vehicles, trailers, wagons, dumpsters, and other obstacles to be parked on alternating sides of the street each day.

According to city code, between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., residents and visitors must park on the even-numbered side of public roadways during even-numbered days and on the odd-numbered side during odd-numbered days. These restrictions will be in effect from November 1 through March 31.

Violators may face fines or have their vehicles towed. The city notes that these regulations apply regardless of weather conditions. Streets where parking is only allowed on one side are exempt from these rules.

For further information, residents can contact City Hall at 507-725-3450.
