The Winona Fire Department is organizing an open house at its Central and West Fire Stations as part of Fire Prevention Week, which takes place from October 5 to October 11. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 8, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., offering community members the opportunity to tour both stations.

During the open house, attendees can expect demonstrations involving aerial trucks and learn about various types of firefighting and rescue equipment. Facility tours will be provided, and snacks will be available for visitors. At the Central Station, a fire safety trailer and Sparky the Fire Dog will be present.

The department will also hold a drawing for three residents with Winona addresses. Winners, along with their siblings who live at the same address, will receive a ride home from school in a fire truck.
