U.S. Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district, posted a series of updates on social media addressing remembrance of September 11, biofuel industry meetings, and legislative efforts to support agricultural producers.

On September 11, 2025, Finstad marked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a message honoring victims and first responders. He wrote, "May we always remember the men and women who lost their lives on this terrible day 24 years ago and the first responders who were on the front line serving their neighbors in the wake of this vicious attack on American soil. In their honor, we pledge to #NeverForget."

Later that day, Finstad shared details from a meeting with biofuel producers in southern Minnesota. He stated, "Yesterday, I met with southern Minnesota biofuel producers with @GrowthEnergy to discuss the need for immediate, nationwide access to year-round E15 and the implementation of the 45Z clean fuel production tax credit. I was also honored to receive the 2025 Fueling Growth Award!"

On September 12, Finstad highlighted his engagement with local pork producers and recent legislative action. He posted, "Always good to meet with my friends @MinnesotaPork! I recently introduced the American Protein Processing Modernization Act to ensure producers in #MN01 can count on safe, efficient processing. I’ll always stand with the farm families who put food on our tables."

Finstad has represented Minnesota’s 1st District in Congress since 2022 after succeeding Jim Hagedorn. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, Finstad holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
