Jeremy Miller, a Minnesota State Senator, recently announced via social media that he will not seek reelection in 2026. Miller, who has served in the Minnesota Senate since 2011 and held leadership roles including Senate President and Majority Leader, shared his decision and reflected on his time in office.

On September 8, 2025, Miller posted: "I have made the difficult decision to not seek reelection in 2026. Other than marrying my amazing wife and the birth of our three wonderful boys, serving in the Minnesota Senate has been one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of my life."

The day before, Miller commented on attending a wedding with his spouse Janel: "Janel & I enjoyed a super fun wedding last night in Faribault! Congratulations, Sam & Jenna, and thank you for including us to help celebrate your special day!" (September 8, 2025).

Miller also expressed enthusiasm for local sports on September 9, posting: "Great comeback by the @Vikings! #Skol"

Miller's tenure in the Minnesota Senate has spanned over a decade. During this period, he served as both Senate President and Majority Leader. His announcement comes after years of legislative service representing southeastern Minnesota.
