Brad Finstad discusses education and military support initiatives in recent social media posts

U.S. Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district, shared updates on educational and military initiatives in a series of posts made on August 28 and 29, 2025.

On August 28, Finstad highlighted his visit to Rasmussen University’s Mankato campus. He wrote, "Rasmussen University has 6 campuses across the state, offering 50+ programs in 8 areas of study. I appreciated the tour and discussion at the Mankato campus where I got to see their top-of-the-line Nursing Simulation Lab, which prepares so many of our nurses in southern".

The following day, he commented on leadership changes at South Central College: "Excellent to meet with Dr. Ritu Raju, the new President of @SCCollege! We’re excited to welcome her to Minnesota, and I know South Central College will continue to serve its students and our #MN01 community well under her leadership."

Later that same day, Finstad turned his attention to military readiness: "Applauding Fort Hood’s new hearing protection upgrades which are key to safeguarding our troops' health and boosting readiness. Proud to support efforts like this on @HASC. Thanks to Starkey SoundGear for helping make it happen!"

Brad Finstad has represented Minnesota's 1st District in Congress since replacing Jim Hagedorn in 2022. Prior to serving in Congress, he was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976, Finstad is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree.
