Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on social media highlighting his recent participation at Farmfest and meetings with local agricultural groups.

On August 11, 2025, Finstad posted about his visit to the Minnesota State Cattlemen's Association tent during Farmfest: "A day at Farmfest wouldn't be complete without the smell of beef cooking at the Minnesota State Cattlemen's Association tent. It was great to catch up with their folks last week to hear about their legislative priorities and ways we're working in Congress to strengthen trade".

Later that day, he acknowledged another meeting at Farmfest, this time with members of the Minnesota Farm Bureau. Finstad wrote: "It was awesome to connect with members of @MNFarmBureau at Farmfest last week. As a member of the House Agriculture Committee, I appreciated hearing about all the work they are doing to support farmers across #MN01. Thanks again for meeting with me!"

On August 12, 2025, Finstad highlighted his commitment to livestock producers in southern Minnesota: "Always proud to serve #MN01, the #2 pork-producing district in the country! In Congress, I'm committed to making sure our livestock producers can do what they do best: putting safe and nutritious protein on our tables. Thanks, @MinnesotaPork for a great visit at Farmfest!”

Brad Finstad has served as U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 1st District since 2022 after succeeding Jim Hagedorn. He is also a former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota. Born in New Ulm in 1976, Finstad continues to reside there while serving his congressional district.
