Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates and perspectives on agricultural policy and healthcare via social media posts.

On August 7, 2025, Finstad highlighted his participation at a major industry event, stating, "I had the honor of providing a House Ag Committee update at the Sweetener Symposium as we celebrated 40 years of the @SugarAlliance bringing together folks from across the sugar industry. Brad Finstad has served in Congress since 2022 after replacing Jim Hagedorn as representative for Minnesota’s 1st district. He previously held office in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976, Finstad continues to reside there today. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
