Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on his social media account addressing trade policy, veterans’ issues, and environmental concerns.

On July 31, 2025, Finstad commented on international trade agreements under former President Trump: "Another historic trade deal secured by President Donald J. Trump with South Korea! @POTUS has secured trade deals with majority of the largest trading partners to the United States, putting Americans first on the global stage. These new trade deals deliver brand new investments https://t.co/o2PzHXuDxg"

The following day, August 1, 2025, he shared details about an event focused on veterans’ needs: "This week, I hosted a veteran’s roundtable to hear directly from those who served how Congress can help address the challenges veterans are facing. Our veterans deserve local access to mental health care, peer support, and transition resources, without having to travel for hours https://t.co/As2Au23os2"

Later that same day, Finstad addressed environmental conditions affecting Minnesotans: "https://t.co/eQtJuh2Y1s

Minnesotans are being blanketed in hazardous smoke from over 200 out-of-control Canadian wildfires due to a lack of proper forest management. Canadian politicians and even some in our own media might want us to stay quiet, but we deserve answers on what"

Brad Finstad has represented Minnesota's 1st District since 2022 after replacing Jim Hagedorn. He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009 and holds a degree from the University of Minnesota. Born in New Ulm in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, Finstad has emphasized regional issues including agriculture and public health throughout his career.
