Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing support for youth programs, commemorating a former colleague, and voicing concerns about agricultural regulations.

On July 21, 2025, Finstad highlighted his advocacy for local families and youth programs in southern Minnesota. He stated, "In Congress, I'm committed to making sure our #MN01 youth and families have the resources they need from the federal government. Proud to advocate for @bgclubroch and similar programs across southern Minnesota that rely on these important grant dollars."

The following day, July 22, 2025, Finstad shared condolences regarding the passing of Bruce Anderson, a former colleague from his time in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Brad Finstad has served as U.S. Representative since replacing Jim Hagedorn in 2022 and previously held office in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976 where he currently resides at age 46, Finstad holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
