Today, Congressman Brad Finstad from Minnesota's 1st district expressed his support for the House's approval of H.R. 4, known as the Recissions Act of 2025. This legislation aims to eliminate $9 billion in government spending deemed wasteful.

In a statement, Rep. Finstad highlighted the efforts since President Trump's administration began to address issues of waste, fraud, and abuse within government programs. He emphasized that this bill is aligned with the promises made to voters seeking fiscal responsibility in Washington.

“Since President Trump took office, both Congress and his Administration have taken decisive action to root out billions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse from programs that fail to reflect the values and needs of the American people,” said Rep. Finstad. “In November, Americans voted for a new direction under President Trump, and this legislation upholds the promise we made to them – to end Washington’s out-of-control spending of taxpayer dollars."

Rep. Finstad reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives that allow Americans to retain more of their income through reduced governmental expenditure.
