Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on July 17, 2025, highlighting his legislative priorities and recent engagements related to agriculture and rural policy.

In a tweet posted at 14:13 UTC, Finstad stated: "American farmland should be owned by American farmers. Glad to join @RepDonBacon in introducing this legislation which will inform Americans about the farmland owned by foreign adversaries like China, and the risk it poses to our family farms and food security."

Later that day at 19:10 UTC, he shared an update on his meeting with young agricultural leaders from Minnesota: "It’s always wonderful to meet with Minnesota's young ag leaders. I enjoyed talking with the Minnesota FFA Association State Officer Team this week, who were in D.C. for the @NationalFFA Organization State Officer Summit. Great to visit with them!"

At 20:49 UTC on July 17, Finstad reiterated his commitment to supporting farmers against regulatory pressures: "I will always stand up for farm country and fight to keep Minnesota farm families from paying the price for harmful regulatory actions driven by radical environmentalists. Read my letter to Administrator Zeldin here."

Brad Finstad has represented Minnesota’s 1st district since replacing Jim Hagedorn in Congress in 2022. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm, Minnesota in 1976, Finstad continues to reside there and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
