Congressman Brad Finstad, who has represented Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently shared a series of statements on social media addressing immigration enforcement, agricultural policy, and national security. Finstad, who previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives and holds a degree from the University of Minnesota, used his platform to comment on current legislative efforts and significant events.

On July 10, 2025, Finstad expressed concern regarding an application targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. In his post he stated: "Proud to join @RepRWilliams & @RepPatFallon in calling out this dangerous app that targets ICE agents - especially after the recent attacks on our immigration enforcement officers. I will always support the brave men & women working to keep Americans safe."

The following day, July 11, 2025, Finstad highlighted his support for new agricultural legislation. He wrote: "The One Big Beautiful Bill Act makes the largest investment in the farm safety net in decades & strengthens critical risk management tools that farmers like Rob depend on, including the FARMER Act which I introduced. Proud to support this historic legislation that delivers for"

On July 13, 2025, Finstad marked the anniversary of an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. He commented: "Remembering the assassination attempt that took place in Butler, PA one year ago today. I'm proud to stand with @POTUS in the fight for a stronger, safer, more prosperous America."

Brad Finstad succeeded Jim Hagedorn as representative of Minnesota’s 1st District and has resided in New Ulm throughout his career.
