Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota's 1st district and has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2022, shared several updates on July 7, 2025, regarding recent developments impacting his constituents and the nation.

On July 7, 2025, Congressman Finstad acknowledged a significant trade agreement with Vietnam secured by President Trump. He noted that this deal would provide the United States with enhanced access to Vietnamese markets. "Great to see President Trump secure this huge win for the ag community, especially for pork producers here in #MN01 and across the country," he remarked.

Later that day, Finstad highlighted the One Big Beautiful Bill Act's support for food producers. The bill aims to make substantial investments in farm safety nets and expand access to risk management tools. Additionally, it seeks to prevent the Death Tax from affecting two million family farms. "The One Big Beautiful Bill Act supports our food producers by: making the largest investment in the farm safety net in decades expanding access to critical risk management tools preventing the Death Tax from hitting two million family farms," he stated.

In another update on July 7, Finstad addressed environmental concerns affecting his district due to Canadian wildfires. He expressed how smoke from these fires has impacted outdoor activities for many Minnesotans during summer. "For a lot of us in #MN01, summer is when we spend time outdoors... However, smoke from Canadian wildfires due to forest mismanagement has made it difficult for many Minnesotans to enjoy being outside," he commented.

Brad Finstad was born in New Ulm, Minnesota in 1976 and continues to reside there today. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree.
