Congressman Brad Finstad from Minnesota's 1st District has expressed his support following the passage of H.R. 1, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The bill is now awaiting President Trump's signature to become law.

Finstad commented on the legislative achievement, stating, "This Republican majority was sent to Congress to change the failed policies of the last four years and move our country forward with policies that cut taxes, secure our borders, restore energy independence, and deliver peace through strength. The bill we voted on today secures those wins for southern Minnesotans and for the American people."

He further highlighted that the bill offers significant tax relief for families and small businesses in his district while also aiming to enhance government accountability. "Importantly, this bill delivers meaningful and permanent tax relief for families and small businesses across the First District while also making government more accountable to taxpayers through much-needed checks on Washington’s waste, fraud, and abuse. I was proud to vote to get this done for the American people, ushering in the economic growth that puts American families first," Finstad added.

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act includes several key provisions: it makes permanent President Trump's 2017 tax cuts; extends and expands the Child Tax Credit; permanently exempts the Death Tax, aiding farmers and small business owners in passing down their operations; invests in border security and immigration enforcement; enhances military capabilities; restores integrity to taxpayer-funded programs; makes permanent the 199A tax deduction for Main Street businesses; and promotes domestic energy production.
