Chatfield Public School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Chatfield Public School District ranked fifth in the Olmsted County for test participation, with 466 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Chatfield Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year fell by 3.9% from the previous year.

Chatfield Public School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 63% in 2021-22 school year.

Sixth grade students stood out with 26% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, eighth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 30% not meeting the expected standards.

Chatfield Public School District encompasses schools within Olmsted County and has a main office in Chatfield.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
