WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01), member of the House Armed Services Committee, released a statement following the full committee markup of the Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

“My number-one priority as a member of the House Armed Services Committee is making sure that our military has the tools it needs to remain the best in the world," said Rep. Finstad. “I am proud to be part of this committee that works day-in and day-out to prioritize our national security and deliver a strong defense budget, which is what this year’s NDAA does. I look forward to supporting this bill on the House Floor in the weeks to come.”

“Rep. Brad Finstad has been a strong advocate for our servicemembers,” said Chairman Mike Rogers (AL-03). “I thank Rep. Finstad for his hard work to boost our national security and to ensure that our servicemembers and their families are taken care of.”

Congressman Finstad championed a number of strong provisions in the FY24 NDAA, such as the procurement of active hearing devices for members of the Armed Forces, the use of the GREET Model to allow domestic ag producers to participate in pilot programs, and supply chain disclosure requirements for critical minerals used in large-capacity batteries, all of which will help improve domestic readiness while ensuring servicemen and women have the necessary resources to be safe and successful.
