The community is invited and encouraged to attend a Community Open House on May 16, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Mayo High School (1420 11th Avenue Southeast, Enter Door 6).  This is an opportunity for community members to share their ideas and participate in the City’s planning and gaps analysis for the potential Regional Sports & Recreation Complex.  The consultant team will provide an update on the gaps analysis and engagement, to date, during the May 15 City Council Study Session.

“We look forward to continuing to connect and hear from the Rochester community.  The gaps analysis and this initial engagement is critical in better understanding the challenges and opportunities with sports and recreation options and facilities here in Rochester,” shares Cyle Erie, Project Executive for ISG the lead consultant on the project.

The Community Open House on May 16 provides individuals the opportunity to come and go as it works for them.  The project team will be present to share information and answer questions.  This includes the details gathered via the gaps analysis conducted by The Sports Facilities Company as well as the results of the digital Polco survey that was completed by close to 2,000 individuals.

The project has also included the participation of community members as a part of a Working Group.  Those individuals include the following:
