City Of Austin issued the following announcement on Mar. 16.
On Thursday, March 9, 2023, the Austin Fire Department hosted Leadership Austin with approximately 25 attendees. Participants started in the classroom receiving facts and information about the department.
After the classroom portion, they were provided the opportunity to participate in a real life hands-on experience consisting of wearing fire gear, participating in auto extrication, search & rescue, thermal imaging, and a station tour.
