City Of Byron issued the following announcement on Dec. 08.
Byron snowplow drivers work hard to keep Byron streets passable, and this picture clearly illustrates the importance of keeping the rights-of-way clear. Please keep personal items out of the right-of-way on property next to city streets. Other than USPS approved mailboxes and utility poles, there shouldn’t be anything of a semi-permanent/permanent nature in this right-of-way such as fences, basketball hoops, or sprinkler heads, to name a few.
These items interfere with the maintenance of public streets or utilities. Street sweepers and snowplow drivers should be able to drive their equipment next to the curb without hitting items like this. When you put your trash can out on trash pick-up day, please place it on the curb or in your driveway, not in the street and please move it back away from the street after it has been emptied.
The city is not responsible for damage caused to these types of items that are in a public right of way. https://www.byronmn.com/index.asp...
