City Of Canton recently issued the following announcement.
Diane Drottz has requested the following information be shared with Canton voters.
Diane has lived in Canton for over two years with her significant other, Gary Vickerman, when they moved here from LeRoy, MN. She is the mother of two grown daughters as well as four grandchildren plus stepchildren and grandchildren.
Diane is currently a member of the Canton American Legion, having served for six years in the Navy & four years in the Army. Immediately upon joining the legion, Diane was placed in charge of promoting the memorial brick drive as well as the Avenue of Flags.
Her prior experience includes working with her residential association board of directors in Trenton, Missouri, where she resided for many years. She was also a member of the local area volunteer fire department. At the same time, Diane was in management for the Pamida store in her hometown for more than 15 years, filling multiple roles.
By being elected, Diane is hoping to move things forward in Canton. Her concerns include the city sewer system and Canton’s involvement with the Mabel-Canton School and its future. Diane wants to see more community presence at meetings and wants to be a contact person for Canton residents to come to as a voice for their concerns.
