City Of Austin recently issued the following announcement.
The City is hiring for a Park Maintenance & Equipment Operator
As part of the position’s essential duties, position operates all equipment within the parks department fleet; performs snow removal and landscape work; grass maintenance, including clearing, grading, drainage, foundation work, tree, shrub, flower planting, grass seeding, fertilizing, top dressing, soil conditioning, prairie burns, watering, irrigation maintenance, spraying for weeds, pest control and seasonal trail/walk path maintenance and repair.
Position will also complete facility maintenance, including custodial tasks, semi-skilled trade work, play equipment inspections; and maintains public fields, municipal pool and JC Hormel Nature Center.
Minimum requirements include: High school diploma/GED, three (3) years of experience in repair and maintenance work. Class A Commercial Driver’s License and a non-commercial pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain). Deadline: Sunday, May 8, 2022. Non-Exempt; $24.24 – $ 34.63/hr.
