Winona County ranked 79th in Minnesota for resident earnings in 2018

Winona County ranked 79th among counties in Minnesota by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Winona County residents was $26,161 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 19,515 households with a population of 50,847.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Carver County with $43,915 per year after adjusting for inflation – $17,754 more than Winona County. It had 35,852 households with a population of 100,416.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Mahnomen County with $24,170 per year after adjusting for inflation – $1,991 less than Winona County. It had 1,938 households with a population of 5,506.
