City of Caledonia issued the following announcement on Oct. 31.
For City of Caledonia residents, all absentee ballots must be received by the Houston County Auditor’s Office by 3:00 p.m. on Election Day (Tuesday, November 3, 2020)! If you are voting by absentee and want to ensure your ballot is counted, you can drop off your absentee ballot at the Houston County Auditor’s Office. There is a drop-off box located outside the Old Courthouse on the west side of the building (facing Merchants Bank). You can also hand-deliver your ballot to the Houston County Auditor’s Office inside the Old Courthouse.
City of Caledonia residents can vote in person at the Municipal Auditorium on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. If Caledonia residents received an absentee ballot in the mail—and have not already voted—they can still vote in person at the Municipal Auditorium on Election Day. A voter does not have to vote by absentee just because they received an absentee ballot.
