St Olaf Lutheran Church issued the following announcement on July 25.
Let’s worship together…yes, in person! On Wednesday, August 5 at 6:00pm, you are invited to join your St. Olaf Church and Christ Episcopal Church community in our parking lot for Vespers, a service of evening prayer. Using the setting “Mountain Vespers” which we used last year on Wednesdays, we will take some time to give thanks to our God.
A couple of important things to note. The service will be in our parking lot so come ready to find good street parking. In order to keep each other safe and be For Our Neighbors, masks will be required as will physical distancing. Our parking lot doesn’t have pews, so bring lawn chairs. We also will not be printing any bulletin materials; so come, sit back, engage in the music and the words of the prayers.
As the church building isn’t open yet, it won’t be available for anything before or after worship. The time for us to worship together inside is approaching but until then, let’s gather together to worship in the parking lot. See you all on the fifth!
