CITY OF CANTON: Collecting Drinking Water Samples From Various Residents To Check For Lead And Copper

Water

City of Canton issued the following announcement on July 17.

Next week, the City of Canton will collecting drinking water samples from various residents as required by the Minnesota Department of Health. This is a routine collection, mandated every five years, for all public water systems to check for lead and copper. Please note: If your residence is on our sampling list it does not mean your drinking water is believed to be contaminated. We repeat -- do not be alarmed. Households required to be sampled will be given a collection container, along with instructions on how to obtain a proper water sample. You will be notified of your individual results when they are made available to the City. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Please connect with Jon if you have questions or concerns.
