City of Austin issued the following announcement on May 7.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 205.13, Subd. 2, that any person eligible and desiring to have their name placed on the official ballot as a candidate for a City of Austin, Minnesota elective office to be voted for at the primary election on August 11, 2020, if required, and the general election on November 3, 2020, shall file their affidavit of candidacy at the City Clerk’s Office, 500 4th Ave. N.E., from the dates of May 19, 2020 at 8:00 A.M. through June 2, 2020 at 5:00 P.M.
Elective Offices are:
Mayor 4 year term
Council Member 1st Ward 4 year term
Council Member 2nd Ward 4 year term
Council Member 3rd Ward 4 year term
Utility Board Commissioner 4 year term
Utility Board Commissioner 4 year term
Utility Board Commissioner 4 year term
