Minnesota legislators recently met in St. Paul to begin the 2020 legislation session, during which they engaged in a floor session and held multiple committee hearings to address various topics regarding the state of Minnesota.
State Rep. Peggy Bennett, who serves on the Capital Investment Committee, posted a legislative update on Facebook and the House of Minnesota’s website to inform constituents of the issues that her committee is addressing.
From the update Bennett provided, the Capital Investment Committee received a lot of testimony due to the expectation of an in-depth bonding bill coming forward to the committee within a few weeks. There are also a lot of local projects looking to receive funding during the 2020 legislation session, according to the Minnesota House of Representatives.
Bennett also had some personal visitors of her own since the legislative session kick-off.
“Speaking of capital investment, Shell Rock River Watershed District Administrator Andy Henschel visited me in St. Paul to discuss the Fountain Lake Restoration Project,” Bennett said.
